Dr. Who Birthday Gift

I don't watch the show, but my wife's friend is a fan. I made this for her birthday. I used a reference from a Google image search.
It was done with Prismacolor colored pencils and ebony pencil, H graphite for the rough sketch, and a little charcoal and white gel pen. I used Strathmore Drawing Paper, 11"x14" 300 Series. It was challenging, because I'm still learning how to use colored pencils correctly and I'm unfamiliar with the subject. Also, I know the picture quality is terrible. I turned down the color to get more contrast, it is actually a very rich blue color.
